Neural Development

Applications are invited to join the team that operates the Human Developmental Biology Resource (HDBR), a research group Headed by Professor Andrew Copp and managed by Dr Dianne Gerrelli.

The appointee will participate in the laboratory work that underpins this service, as well as sharing with other staff in the general running of the HDBR. A key responsibility is to perform expression analysis of genes responsible for defects in early embryonic development.

This post is funded initially for 24 months.

Key Responsibilities

Applicants must have a BSc in a relevant subject area

Experience of working in a laboratory and proven ability and commitment to carry out high quality research, leading to publications.

Basic research skills including experimental design and execution

Ability to analyse and write up data fully.

Knowledge of embryology and experience of working within a research/medical speciality.

Grading and remuneration information

Grade 6 - £27,796 - £29,318 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
