Ref 1: Power Generation Expansion Planner
ADWEC is seeking an experienced candidate to fulfill the above position. Note that candidates must be able to speak Arabic fluently and have a high standard of written and spoken English. Potential candidates will be tested on these language skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual 7 Year Generation Expansion Planning Statement in cooperation with other experts.
- Analyse past trends and prepare projections of future electricity demand and assist with the preparation of the water demand forecast.
- Prepare short, medium and long term demand forecasts.
- Monitor local and international economic indicators and collect data that may affect the power and water procurement decisions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A good honors degree in Power Plant Engineering or Economics which may be supplemented by post-grade qualifications.
- Acquired experience in the energy sector, preferably in utility economics and in particular economic and statistical analysis.
- Good computer skills and English language report writing skills.
- Arabic and the ability to read Arabic would be a competitive advantage.
Remuneration:
- Salaries are tax-free and will include an attractive benefits package.
- Salary is negotiable.
- Minimum commitment will be for three years, preferably longer (unlimited).
