  • Minimum five (5) years experience in the Banking and/or IT industries.
  • Minimum two (2) years in IT auditing, system analysis or system development.
  • University degree or college diploma/certificate in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
  • IT audit or system security accreditation (e.g. CISA, CISSP).
  • Previous IT Auditing experience within the financial industry preferred but not mandatory.
  • In-depth IT audit knowledge in system platform security, banking applications, networking and project management with preference to individuals having experience with internal control and IT frameworks (e.g. COSO, COBIT).
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and identify areas of risk and to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Experience using data mining and data analytic tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to keep abreast of current technical, audit and banking developments.
  • Proven leadership skills to occasionally lead an audit team to complete audit assignments.
Responsibilities
  • Complete audits of general computer and application controls over existing systems identifying and documenting weaknesses and making recommendations for improved operational effectiveness.
  • Completion of certification efforts within CWB and its subsidiaries as relates to IT controls prior to and after certification processes have been established in sustainment mode.
  • Define, develop, and document continuous monitoring processes to identify potential risks to operating effectiveness and opportunities for fraudulent activities, that will assist Internal Audit in focusing its’ efforts.
  • Assess and test the effectiveness of the CWB Group business continuity plans.
  • Assess and test web based applications for potential weaknesses in controls, security and intrusion from external sources.
  • Evaluate the accuracy of stated systems controls by third party service providers.
  • Coordinate the annual Interac review and certification process for CWB.
  • Participate in special projects such as:
    • New system development and conversions;
    • Network security assessments; and
    • Assessment of IT environment and integration issues relating to potential acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Internal Audit and Corporate Security department, the external auditors and any regulatory auditors. Provide guidance when requested.
  • Assume the role of technical expert for the department as it relates to audit tools utilized in the performance of audit engagements (e.g. audit management software, data analytics tools, etc.).
  • Participate in department administration and make suggestions for process improvements.
  • Some travel is required.

Responsibilities
  • Administrative Assistant to VP, Marketing & Product Development
    • Secretary for the Operations Committee, chaired by the VP, Marketing & Product Development, including recording and distribution of meeting minutes.
    • Maintain the "CWB Concerns" complaint voicemail and email communication channels, and updating the VP, Marketing & Product Development, as required.
    • Maintain the complaint records and filing system; prepare quarterly reports including payment to the CWB Ombudsman.
    • Review emails and manage telephone calls for the VP, Marketing & Product Development.
  • Administration and Co-ordination
    • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail for the Marketing & Product Development Department and CDF.
    • Act as one of two joint custodians of incoming CDF mail, recording deposit particulars as required.
    • Maintain the Marketing & Product Development Department's diary file system, dispersing diary items as necessary.
    • Preparation of the Marketing & Product Development Department cheque requisitions and administration of expenditures reporting.
    • Assist in the mailing of CDF new client account letters and marketing collateral.
    • Enter data for Equifax Reports for CDF, as required.
    • Responsible for the Marketing & Product Development Department and CDF document filing including CDF reports.
    • Act as a primary back-up for answering the Marketing & Product Development telephones (excludes CDF telephones).
    • Maintain the Marketing & Product Development holiday schedule and attendance record.
    • Make travel arrangements and reservations as requested.
  • Corporate Marketing & Specialty Advertising
    • Ensure that Premium Gift Program requests are entered into the Data Group Inventory system for distribution to branches. Audit and balance the monthly report and charge branches as warranted.
    • Order and manage the inventory for Corporate Office donations and sponsorships.
    • Responsible for the inventory counts and reporting of Premium Gift Program products.
    • Coordinate Hole in One insurance for branches and Corporate Office.
    • Assist in the co-ordination and tracking of Conferences, trade shows/exhibits participation and display requirements.
    • Act as a back-up for the Community Investment administration assistant in reviewing emails from charities and groups/individuals requesting donations or sponsorship.
    • Provide information regarding previous relationships with charities and arrange for payments or donations, and when necessary receive and deliver tickets to various events.
    • Responsible for the payment of major donations as per Major Donation Commitment Summary.
