The General and Adolescent Paediatrics Unit is the home of general and community paediatrics and adolescent medicine within the wider UCL community.
This post is initially funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) for 4 years until mid 2014.
The successful applicant will work with senior investigators to coordinate the overall programme of 5 studies, and will also have specific responsibilities as the Trial Manager for Study C, a randomised controlled trial of a behavioural lifestyle modification intervention to treat obesity in adolescents in the community. The successful applicant will work in a research environment with strong epidemiological, clinical trials and psychological expertise.
Applicants must have a BSc or equivalent in a medical or social sciences field. Experience of effective management of research projects is essential. The postholder must have good organisational and leadership skills, and have the ability to work autonomously & as part of a team.
