JOB DESCRIPTION – EMV
The Central Bank of the UAE is seeking to hire two consultants at project manager level
starting no later than 1 April 2010.
The assignment is to launch a private label EMV-compliant debit card which may be
used to obtain service at ATMs and POS terminals.
Working together, the two contractors shall be responsible for all aspects of the project
e.g. writing card and terminal specifications, issuing member bank operating regulations,
liaising with card and terminal suppliers, managing relations with member banks and
certification testing.
Some flexibility is permitted such that one consultant may work on a part-time basis (six
months out of twelve). The second consultant is required full-time for 12 months with a
possible extension.
Successful candidates should have at least 10 years’ comprehensive experience of the
payment card industry covering both issuing and acquiring. Special expertise in designing
and implementing EMV products is an essential requirement.
Both positions are based in Dubai with occasional travel to Abu Dhabi. A competitive
