1. JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the implementation of DHCC Quality Standards in accordance with International research based best practices.

Lead and co-ordinate survey teams to measure the clinical facilities ability to meet International best practices in line with DHCC standards and accreditation processes to meet licensing requirements.

Lead the coordination, communication, and improvement initiatives based on continuous review and monitoring of the implementation of the quality assessment survey through the ISO accredited Survey Process.

Develop and present educational programs to address clinical facilities challenges in meeting DHCC standards and accreditation processes

Ensure the survey team members are consistent in assessing the facilities for the DHCC Quality Standards

Develop policies and procedures as required for CPQ and DHCC

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in a Healthcare-related field ( Nursing - Medicine), and advanced training and work experience in clinical audits programs or assessment survey


Experience

Six plus years of clinical experience in the healthcare industry and a minimum period of three years in a management position.

Relevant and demonstrated experience in patient care services and quality improvement programs in healthcare organizations.

Knowledge of quality improvement processes and the use of benchmarking and measurement tools are required and demonstrated experience in working on an institution-wide quality management program.

Demonstrated experience in clinical and assessment survey audits, quality planning and/or measurement systems for care delivery and outcomes.

Applicable work experience in an International setting.

Fluency in English with an ability to compose, review and discuss assessment survey reports.

Strong organizational and analytic skills, ability to manage a variety of activities with sound judgment, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to work in a cohesive multidisciplinary team environment

Professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Training:

Qualified healthcare practitioner with international experience and Medical knowledge and expertise in quality patient care and patient safety

Knowledge and training in healthcare quality accreditation programs, quality management systems, continuous quality improvement, and performance improvement programs

Teaching qualifications in a healthcare related field

Qualified Auditor preferably in a healthcare related field

Business and managerial experience and capabilities

Knowledge:

In depth knowledge of healthcare accreditation and benchmarking

Knowledge of quality improvement processes including the use of benchmarking and data analysis as demonstrated by experience working on a healthcare organizational quality management program

Knowledge of international healthcare standards, clinical best practice and organizational patient processes

Knowledge and qualification in quality audits and assessments


Job Accountability Area
(what is done, and to what, and why)
Lead the coordination of surveyor teams for the implementation of both formal and informal facility surveys. This includes the Pre-Operating and Post-Operating On-Site Assessment Surveys to monitor compliance of Outpatient Clinics, Day Surgery Centers / Hospitals, Pharmacies and Laboratories to DHCC Quality Standards. Write assessment survey reports, and review surveyor reports, following the on-site visits. Perform Lead Surveyor duties as required at the 6-months, 3-month Follow-up, 18-month surveys and every 2 years thereafter.
Prepare information for the Quality Council and Executive Director of QID on survey results, facility issues and detailed concerns to be addressed and recommendations.
Provide client feedback on survey results and education on needs improvements.
Provide education sessions and training to Healthcare operators and surveyors on Quality standards, conducting surveys, and reporting results.
Development of educational presentations, policies and procedures as required for QID and DHCC and disseminate educational resources.
Participate in the DHCC Outpatient Clinic Quality Standards update and survey process self-assessment as per ISQua’s requirements to prepare for CPQ to become an accrediting agency
Enhance the survey tools process and techniques. Utilize statistical analysis methods to efficiently measure performance.

Review and refine the Survey Process to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification of the Survey Process
Benchmark results within DHCC and against international standards.
Manage a data base of results through identifying trends and areas of opportunity with regards to compliance to the quality standards
Public Health: Assist with developing and implementing DHCC Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign to promote public health education. Conduct presentations on Breast Cancer awareness for DHCC and on behalf of DHCC for other companies
