The Role

The PMM will create and maintain the business plan for the markets served by our product line. In this role s/he will articulate the company’s distinctive competence and the product’s unique advantage.

In support of the business case, the PMM will perform qualitative and quantitative research with existing customers and potential prospects. In addition, the PMM will perform sales, trend and profitability analysis.

As the key business manager on the product, the PMM will interface with industry thought leaders and strategic partners. The PMM will work with decision makers in marketing communications and sales management to ensure that the product is correctly communicated to the market.

This position reports to the Manager, Product Marketing

Primary Responsibilities;

  • Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning
  • Develop a pre-specification programme for B2B sector sales teams. Develop relationships with key specifiers of Access Control systems to increase number of bid opportunities
  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies
  • Deliver and drive recurring revenue programmes as appropriate
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop required sales tools and training
  • Develop content for product and company collateral
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop recommendations for achieving targets
  • Design road map with Tyco and other providers, showing new products, bearer services and associated technology
  • Take portfolio and develop segment story based on products, high lighting USP’s and points of differentiation
  • Ensure the company is compliant with any regulatory requirements and that they company is not a commercial disadvantage
  • Some travel in the UK

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • Bachelors degree in business or technical field, MBA an advantage
  • Previous experience managing and promoting high technology products, from development through launch and sales ramp up
  • History of product management accomplishments and initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently
  • Experience developing relationships with suppliers and co-marketing partners highly desirable
  • Ideally prior experience marketing enterprise-class software
  • Knowledge of the internet and prior experience utilising the web as a marketing vehicle
  • Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences
  • Ability to do product demonstrations seasoned experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ideally prior knowledge and experience of the Access Control Market
