Job Purpose & Scope
1. Provide assurance on financial and accounting operations in line with accepted company accounting policies, procedures, processes and guidelines.
2. Apply operational control policies and procedures to help ensure that correct accounts are kept and company assets are safeguarded.
3. Accurately capture data in company systems and ensure proper audit trails and maintained
4. Reconcile relevant accounts on periodic basis to support Trial Balance reconciliation and periodic closing cycles
5. Monitor and analyze financial data to produce accurate internal reports for company staff and management
6. Assist operational staff in establishing and monitoring performance against budget to control cost and performance
7. Carry out ad hoc financial analysis for internal cost control
8. Maintain proper accounting records and documents in line with company document retention policy
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
2. 5 -10 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry
3. Familiarity with software applications such as ORACLE & MAXIMO
4. Additional professional certifications like CPA are desirable
