Starting as a First Officer, our pilots become instantly and actively involved in our dynamic operation. Taking control of some of the most sophisticated regional aircraft, our pilots are responsible for ensuring our passengers the best customer experience and safety.

A QantasLink First Officer is responsible for:
Making safety the first priority. Ensuring maximum comfort and courtesy is extended to passengers and company customers. Ensuring that no Company aircraft is operated outside its normal operating parameters, unless in an emergency situation. Complying with instruction and regulations laid down by the Company and CASA. Line Pilots must efficiently execute all their technical duties. | ![]() |
Ensuring that all flight time and duty time limitations are observed and accurately recorded on the flight and duty time record. Maintaining currency of 1st Class medical certificate, advising the Fleet Manager if the certificate is about to lapse. |
