The NTI delivery and execution district is a dynamic team within Information Technology which comprises a team of project managers, business analysts and technical leads accountable to deliver the projects from the NTI program to Bell Operations. We are the liaison between the Technology Development team and the Operational groups that are using that technology to do network planning, network provisioning and service assurance and other operations functions within Bell.

Job descriptions and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be accountable to analyze and document system, network and business requirements in accordance to conceptual solutions on the reactive testing domain roadmap on any and all reactive testing domain applications. They will build strong partnerships with clients and vendors to validate application designs and achieve alignment and buy-in. They will perform comprehensive validation, regression and performance testing in adherence with the reactive testing domain delivery best practices and release management policies.

Qualifications/Competencies:

§ Training/Education (mandatory)

  • Bachelor in Software, Electrical or Network Engineering
  • Bachelor in Computer Science and/or equivalent work experience

§ Knowledge

  • OS – Unix (Solaris, HPUX, Linux Redhat), Windows (XP, Windows Server)
  • Database knowledge (mandatory):
    • Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, LDAP
    • SQL, PL/SQL
  • Programming and markup languages (preferred)
    • Any procedural language (C, Perl, Shell, AWK, etc)
    • Any OO language (C++, Java, Javascript, Python, etc)
    • Any markup language (HTML + CSS, XML, SGML, etc)
  • Load balancer – Resonate, Alteon
  • J2EE, Apache, Oracle Application Server, Tomcat, JBoss
  • SOA – Service Oriented Architecture
  • Testing and bug tracking tools (Test Director, Bugzilla, …)

§ Experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of reactive testing domain (including AccessCare, Webcare, CALRS, Raven)
  • Previous Business Analyst experience
  • Knowledge of xDSL technology

· SDLC experience, with an emphasis in application testing

§ Skills

  • Ability to perform data mining, statistical analysis and quantitative analysis
  • Autonomous, strong tolerance to ambiguity, excellent capacity for applied learning
  • Proven leadership, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent ability to articulate and document technical concepts on many levels
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to efficiently work in virtual teams, handling multiple projects
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet hard deadlines and available to work occasional overnights to take part in deployment activities
  • Ability to travel within Montreal, Ottawa, London and Toronto corridors with little advance notification; travel depending on project needs
  • Fast paced, changing working environment
