Description | HSBC Australia has established a competitive presence in Global Payments and Cash Management (PCM) with superior sales and delivery of global transaction services via HSBCnet, the Group’s proprietary electronic banking solution. Competition from both domestic and international competitors is increasing so commensurate increase marketing and sales efforts will be necessary to maintain and extend our strong position in this space. Working in conjunction with Relationship Managers and PCM teams overseas, the sales team’s primary focus is to develop new business with local companies, multinationals, financial institutions, and non-bank financial institutions. We are seeking an individual to be a Sales Manager responsible for covering the financial institution and non bank financial institution markets. This will include developing active marketing and client calling programs in efforts to win new business and achieve revenue targets. The individual will work cohesively with other PCM areas (locally, regionally, globally) including product management, implementation and client service along with other areas of HBAU (FIG RM team, Treasury, Custody, etc) will be required. The ultimate goal is to help with ensuring that PCM is a major contributor to Group economic profit. Your main responsibilities will include: • The generation of new business • Sales pipeline/deal management processes including: - targeting prospective clients, - performing needs analyses, - proposal preparation, issue and presentation, - negotiation and follow up, - debrief on deal outcomes. • Sales to implementation handover, • Participation in Financial Net Return (‘FNR’) realisation, • Continuous selling management for designated clients. To be successful in this role, you will need: • Bachelors degree. • At least two years experience in banking sales plus commensurate experience in other banking positions. • Familiarity with Payments and Cash Management. • Familiarity with the FI and NBFI segment. • Strong commitment to the sales process and a desire to work closely with clients. • Sound written and verbal communication skills. • A strong drive to win. | ||||
