Job Purpose & Scope:
1. Carry out a variety of duties related to Materials & Inventory activities including review and establishment of requirements of Materials & Operational Spares and inspection of stock items, standardization, Technical Support and management of stock.
2. Receive and study all stock creation requisitions [SCADS] to ensure that specifications, description and information are correct and clearly indicated then create the CATALOGE. Work out stock parameters and quantities to be purchased and indicate items already exist in stock. Recommend if items are to be stocked or purchased directly by the user.
3. Provides centralized quality oriented and cost effective Material Management via issuing and studying stock replenishment report and updating regularly description, specifications and the stock parameters according to the latest recorded annual consumption, taking into consideration changes in Operation/Maintenance demand and lead time.
4. Carry out Technical Evaluation of tender bids when requested and provide Technical Support, assistance and expertise in all Material Stock related matters including Technical Study and evaluation of stock purchasing files and solving stock discrepancies in the stores.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor in Instrument / Electrical Engineering
2. 5 -10 years varied engineering experience related to the oil and gas industry of which 3 years at least in the following fields: Material Management; Computerized Inventory Control; Shell coding system (MESC) or similar systems
3. Thorough knowledge of software applications as Maximo, SAP in addition to good knowledge in international standards such as ASTM, API, ANSI, DIN, BS, AFNOR, etc
4. Computer literacy
