| Detail | Rs.593, 588 p.a. (Starting salary) The U.S. Mission in Karachi is seeking individuals for the position of Electrician Technician in the Maintenance Section. BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION: The incumbent under the supervision of the Electrical Engineer serves as an Electrician Technician with responsibility for maintaining and troubleshooting all electrical control systems to key building automated equipment throughout the buildings, compound and grounds. This position includes all hardware, associated peripherals, configuration, optimization, and repair from the Electrical Controls Automated Systems Technician perspective. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 1. EDUCATION: Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics. 2. EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience as an Electrician Technician working at a large hotel, resort or university is required. 3. LANGUAGE: Level IV English (fluent) Speaking,Reading,Writing and Level IV Urdu (fluent) is required. 4. KNOWLEDGE: Must have good working knowledge about building electrical control systems, devices and control wiring required. Knowledge of building electrical automated systems and direct digital control technology. General knowledge of the structure, design and operation of building electrical control systems. Basic knowledge of emergency generator power control systems and automatic transfer switches (ATS). Must be familiar with applicable U.S., International and local electrical building and safety codes. Should be computer literate and be to use MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point etc) AutoCAD and other special computer programs required for this position. 5. ABILITIES & SKILLS: Must be able to use tools of the trade in order to install, troubleshoot and repair building electrical control automated systems and all associated devices. Must have a valid driving license. Incumbent must be able to maintain a professional working relationship with all mission staff, employees, visitors and maintenance contractors. | ||
