SALARY: Full-time; 40 hours/week, Rs.432,115 p.a. (Starting salary) (Position Grade: FSN-6)

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for 24 hours monitoring and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment at the New Consulate Compound.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

1. EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary School (10 years of schooling) is required along with 3 years Journeyman’s apprenticeship program.

2. EXPERIENCE: Must have 5 years of experience in utility operations with a strong emphasis on preventive and corrective maintenance.

3 LANGUAGE: Level III (good working knowledge) in English and Level III (good working knowledge) in Urdu are required.

4. KNOWLEDGE: Must be familiar with the particulars related to plant and equipment maintenance. Must know basic safety precautions related to tasks performed.

5. ABILITIES & SKILLS: Must have the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment and should have a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes. Ability to read blueprints, sketches, manuals and diagrams. Should be able to work independently in emergency situations. Must have basic electrical skills and be familiar with computer applications.
