Job Purpose: The primary purpose of the job is to conduct systematic and periodic evaluations of the Network's compliance with internal DHL Safety and Quality Standards as well as external ones set by various Civil Aviation and other Regulatory authorities. The job holder will be responsible for producing audit records and reports for senior management that should include compliance and non-compliance findings as well as appropriate recommendations for corrective actions. | ||||
Nature and Scope:
DHL Aviation is committed to maintaining a very high standard of quality and safety in all its operations, in compliance with the relevant internal and external standards. The jobholder primarily deals with the period audits of the relevant DHL and third party operations against the standard checklists which are in line with DHL Manuals such as the QSMS, AGOM as well as those standards set externally by the relevant Regulatory Authorities. In order to effectively execute the job, the jobholder must have a full understanding of all the Manuals used as standards for the relevant areas of operation. The jobholder must produce audit reports for all audits done with clear recommendations for the corrective actions where necessary, the agreed timeframe for the corrective actions and the persons assigned for those actions. The jobholder is expected to follow the full audit process that includes notification of the audits, pre and post audit meetings with persons responsible for the operation to be audited as well as official conclusions/closures of the audits. 2.a) Reporting Relationships The jobholder reports directly to the Quality Assurance and Safety Manager - EEMEA Aviation. •b) Problem Solving The jobholder is expected to have a broad understanding of the type of operation in order to clearly and authoritatively address the issues of Quality and Safety concern arising from the audit findings. •c) Planning and Organization
•d) Job Challenge Audits give senior management a snap shot of the degree to which the Network meets its Quality and Safety Standards. The auditor is expected to maintain a very high degree of integrity in the conduct of audits by producing unbiased audit reports. The degree with which Quality and Safety Standards can be maintained and improved upon will have much to do with the quality and effectiveness of the Quality and Safety Audits. | ||||
